Impact on Learning

I feel that this map really challenges students to think critically and qquestion assumptions. One of the fascinating aspects of science is its capacity for experimentation. A good science unit builds on students natural curiosity in the worked around them to share understanding of conceptions. One of the lessons in this unit uses a commonly held belief as the basis for student inquire and reflection. Not only does it encourage students to questions, but also to search for explanations and answers. This process helps to build meta-cognition which is a lasting, positive impact on learning.
